Ron Brown

1984 Olympic Champion, 4x100 Meter Relay.

Brown was a world class sprinter in the early 1980's. He finished fourth in the 100 meters at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles and won a gold medal and set a world record as part of the 4x100 meter relay team. Brown ranked fifth in the world in both 1983 and '84. He then entered the N.F.L. and played for the Los Angeles Rams from 1984 to '89 and the Raiders in '90 and back with the Rams in '91. He was used a a wide receiver, but was much more effective as a kick returner, where he was selected as a Pro Bowler in 1985.
