Ken Burrough
Two-time N.F.L. All-Pro
A graduate of Texas Southern, Burrough was an All-American in 1969. The New Orleans Saints took him with their first pick in the 1970 draft, but he was traded to Houston after catching 13 passes as a rookie. He blossomed with the Oilers in the mid '70s, leading the league in receiving yards (1,063) in 1975 and formed a feared deep combination with quarterback Dan Pastorini that got him a pair of All-Pro selections. Burrough caught 421 passes for 7,102 yards and 49 touchdowns in his 12-year NFL career. But he missed out on a Super Bowl ring because 11 of those years were with Houston, which twice was beaten by AFC Central Division rival Pittsburgh in the AFC Championship game.
