Clack played guard for the Pittsburgh Steelers. he was a fifth round draft pick out of Wake Forest in 1971 and played for the Steelers until 1977. he played for the New York Giants from 1978 to '81, transitioning to the center position. He was a member of the Steelers teams that won Super Bowls IX and X. He died from a heart attack in 2006 after a four-year battle with cancer.
