Bob Cousy
Member of the Basketball Hall of Fame
When Bob Cousy joined the Boston Celtics in 1950, he was already a three-time Consensus All American selection while attending Holy Cross College. However, few could have predicted the success Mr. Basketball would have, not only playing professional basketball, but revolutionizing it. He played in 13 consecutive All-Star games, set 13 playoff records, and basked in the glory of six NBA titles. The NBA MVP in 1956-57 when he averaged 20.6 points per game. At only 6’1", he is perhaps the greatest passer the league has ever seen. Bob Cousy was elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1970, and was named a member of the NBA 35th Anniversary All-Time team in 1981.
