First American Woman to Win a World Cup Race
A member of the 1968 Olympic team, Cutter placed 17th in the downhill, 21st in the giant slalom and failed to finish the slalom. Cutter became the first American woman to win a World Cup race by taking a slalom in Oslo in 1968, she placed ninth in the overall World Cup that season. In 1969, she placed fourth overall and second in slalom with three event victories. She won one more race in 1970 before turning professional and skiing on the Women's Pro Tour.
