Member of the Baseball Hall of Fame

The first full-time relief pitcher selected to the Hall of Fame, Fingers logged 341 saves in his career for the Oakland A's, San Diego Padres and Milwaukee Brewers that lasted from 1968 to 1985. A member of the Oakland A's World Series winners in 1972, '73, and '74, Fingers won the World Series M.V.P. in 1974. In 1981 he won the American League M.V.P. and Cy Young Award while with the Milwaukee Brewers. Fingers was a seven time All-Star (1973-'76, '78, '81, '82). His number 34 was retired by the A's and Brewers. Fingers was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1992.
