George Foster
1977 National League Most Valuable Player
In 18 seasons in the majors with the Giants, Reds, Mets and White Sox, Foster was an all-star five times (1976-'79, '81). He won the National League M.V.P. in 1977 when he hit 52 home runs with 149 RBI's and scored 124, all totals which led the league. He also led the league in homers in 1978 with 40 and RBI's in '78 with 121 and '78 with 120. He played on two world championship teams with the Reds.
