Jimmie Giles
Four-time N.F.L. All-Pro
A graduate of Alcorn State University, Giles played 13 seasons in the N.F.L. with
the Oilers, Buccaneers, Lions and Eagles. His best seasons were with Tampa Bay where
he started 112 games for the Bucs, 5th best ever. Has 296 catches for 4,300 yardsand
34 touchdowns as a Buccaneer. His yards from scrimmage (4,307) and all-purpose yards
(4,367) were both second best in team history. Finished his Bucs career 1st in receiving
TDs (34), scoring (204 points) and second in career receiving yards (4,300 - most
for a TE). Averaged 15.4 yards per catch, an amazing feat for a tight end. Named
to All-Pro teams following the 1980, 1981, 1982 and 1985 seasons. He played in the
1981, 1982, 1983 and 1986 Pro-Bowls. Caught the game winning TD in the 1985 Pro Bowl.
