Hearns was a world champion as a welterweight, light middleweight, middleweight and light heavyweight. He compiled a pro record of 59-4-1 with 46 knockouts. Hearns was the W.B.A. welterweight champion from 1980-'81; W.B.C. light middleweight champin from 1982-'84; W.B.C. middleweight champion from 1986-'87; and W.B.C. light heavyweight champion in 1987.
