Beth Heiden
1980 Olympic bronze medalist 3000 meter Speed Skating
The younger sister of five-time Olympic Champion Eric Heiden, Beth was the 1979 World All-Around Champion and second in the event in 1980. She was also second at the World Sprint Championships in 1978 and '79 and third place in '80. Her results were disappointing at the 1980 games, where she was expected to win up to four medals. In addition to her bronze medal at 3000 meters, she also finished 5th at 1000 meters and 7th at 1500 and 500.
