1968 Triple Olympic Champion
Killy is arguably the best skier in history. He won gold medals in the downhill and combined events at the 1966 World Championships. Killy won all three gold medals at the 1968 Winter Olympic Games in Grenoble, France. He was also the winner of the first World Cup in 1967-68. Killy later became instrumental in the founding of the professional skiing circuit in the United States in the early 70's. Killy was the co-president of the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville and served asa member of the International Olympic Committee from 1995 to 2008.
