Jerry Koosman
Two-time All-Star
Koosman spent most of his career as the number two pitcher on the New York Mets,
behind Tom Seaver. His career highlight was a game 2 one-hit victory over the Baltimore
Orioles in the 1969 World Series which launched the miracle victory. Koosman was
an all-star in 1968 and '69 and was second in Cy Young voting in 1976 when he went
21-10 with a 2.69 E.R.A. He also played with the Twins, White Sox and Phillies;
finishing his career with a 222-209 record and a 3.36 E.R.A.
