1962 and 1969 Winner of the Grand Slam of Tennis
Widely considered the best tennis player of all-time, Laver is the only player to twice win the Grand Slam of tennis. He won the Grand Slam in 1962 as an amateur and then turned professional, barring him from the Grand Slam tournaments until 1968. Laver captured the Grand Slam again in 1969 and won a total of 10 Grand Slam titles in his career, including four victories at Wimbledon. Laver was elected to the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 1981.
