Jim McMillian

N.B.A. All-Star
McMillian played college basketball at Columbia University. He led Columbia to a three year record of 63-14 and their last N.C.A.A. tournament appearance in 1968 and was a three-time All-American. He was drafted in the first round by both the Los Angeles Lakers of the N.B.A. and the New York Nets of the A.B.A. He chose the Lakers and spent three years there averaging 15.3 points per game. In 1972, he helped the Lakers to an N.B.A. championship having replaced Elgin Baylor at forward. McMillian later played for the Buffalo Braves, New York Knicks and Portland Trail Blazers before retiring in 1979.
