Jerry Rice is undoubtedly the greatest wide receiver in N.F.L. history. He ranks first in career receptions (1,456) ; receiving yards (21,597); yards from scrimmage (22,242) and touchdowns (202). he has led the league in receiving yards six times in a career that enters its 19th season in 2003. He played for the San Francisco 49ers from 1985 to 2000, winning three Super Bowls including an 11 catch, 215 yard performance against the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl XXII. He will undoubtedly enter the Hall of Fame as soon as he is eligible.
