Charles White
1979 Heisman Trophy Winner
White won the Heisman trophy in 1979 while at U.S.C., outpointing defending Heisman winner Billy Sims. He was drafted by the Cleveland Browns, but drug addiction sent his career into decline. Clean and sober, he resurrected himself and with the Rams in 1987 led the N.F.C. in rushing.
