He was the starting fullback on the first Florida teams to finish first in the Southeastern Conference – second-team All-America as a senior in 1985 and the first back in Gator history with more than 2,000 yards rushing and 700 receiving. First-round pick of the Seattle Seahawks in 1986, he ran 1,245 times for 5,006 yards and caught 546 passes for 4,656 yards in eight seasons with Seattle and two with the Pittsburgh Steelers. A Steeler co-captain for Super Bowl XXX.
