1981 SUPERTEAMS BASEBALL PRELIMINARY

Honolulu, Hawaii

Commentators: Al Michaels, Bob Uecker, Reggie Jackson.

The Phillies broke the Royals' record for the swimming relay at 1:45.50 as both teams dipped under the old record. The Royals won the running relay as the Phillies dropped the baton and then Lonnie Smith fell down. Smith also fell down in the obstacle course, but the Phillies won anyway, despite the fact that Willie Wilson made up 15.02 seconds over Bake McBride on the final run.
