Honolulu, Hawaii

March 14, 1982

Commentators: N/A

Cincinatti won the first three events to build an early lead and held on by winning the sixth event, volleyball, to gain a small measure of revenge over the 49ers. The highlight of the competition was the running relay achor battle between Ronnie Lott and Cris Collinsworth. The wide receiver eluded the defensive back as both teams beat the old record of the Dallas Cowboys (2:27.68) by over four seconds. The 49ers set the record in the outrigger canoe race of 3:17.7.
