1982 MEN'S PRELIMINARY #4
Chris Collinsworth edged James Lofton by just one point after having beaten Lofton in the 100 yard dash. Gastineau and Sims came close to the weight lifting record, but couldn't go past 315 pounds as the event ended in a tie. Collinsworth set two records in the three-frame bowling competition of 57 and 79, but lost to Billy Sims in the step ladder final and finished third.
