1983 WOMEN'S FINAL
Ann Meyers overcame a solid field and inclement weather to capture her third straight Women's Superstars championship. Norwegian skiier Toril Forland had the lead for much of the competition, but Meyers won the quarter mile run with a record of 59.95, the first Superstar under 1:00, and held on to win the competition. One of the reasons for the competitive field was the inclusion of the British (Beryl Mitchell) and South African (Mercia Ferreira) Superstars champions. Also of note is that Canadian trap shooter Susan Natross hit all ten of her shots for a maximum score of 30 points in basketball.
