1988 MEN'S FINAL
Herschel Walker became the third man to win the Superstars title twice, wrapping up the competition after nine events over four-time champion Renaldo Nehemiah. Three Superstars records were set, by Nehemiah in the quarter mile bike race, Tim Brown in basketball and an impressive duel in weightlifting where Reggie White defeated Danny Noona 385 pounds to 375. The Olympic curse continued, four track and field athletes competed in the 1988 Superstars final, none of them made the 1988 Olympic team.
