1988 SUPERTEAMS
Honolulu, Hawaii
Date: February 28, 1988
Commentators: Ahmad Rashad, Bob Golic, Paul Maguire.
Again held following the Pro Bowl, pitting the N.F.C. against the A.F.C. The N.F.C. won the tandem bike relay by default after an A.F.C. bike crash. In a close fought battle, the N.F.C. nearly lost it all when Neil Lomax missed the wall attempting a flip turn in the swimming relay. The resulting two-second penalty wound up in a tie and a swim-off. The A.F.C. won the swim-off and tied the overall competition. The N.F.C. won the decisive tug of war to capture the competition.
