Water polo's Terry Schroeder won the second preliminary round
1992 MEN'S PRELIMINARY #2
Terry Schroeder became the first water polo player to participate in the Superstars and made a strong showing, winning the preliminary round with victories in the water, swimming and kayaking. The biggest surprise came when Atlanta Brave catcher Greg Olson lifted 280 pounds in the weight lifting to edge N.F.L. defensive back Louis Oliver.

Water polo's Terry Schroeder won the second preliminary round
The water polo player had no difficulty winning the swimming event.
Greg Olson set a baseball record of 280 pounds, using good form to upset the field.
Kayaking was a key event as Schroeder in the yellow boat edged Olson at the top in
the blue boat.
Beach volleyball's Sinjin Smith showed well with 30 points to win basketball.
Smith moved on the inside to win the bikes. (left to right: Oliver, Meola, Schroeder,
Smith).
Mike Powell used great speed to win the 100 yard dash, Joe Carte, Brian Jordan and
Louis Oliver behind him left to right.
Guess what? Powell used his leaping ability to beat Brian Jordan in the obstacle
course.
