THE GREATEST WORLD CUP GOALS

MARADONA - 1986 WORLD CUP

SCORER: Diego Maradona
MATCH: Argentina vs. Belgium
TIME: June 25, 1986
PLACE: Estadio Azteca, Mexico City

DESCRIPTION:  Maradona picked up the ball about 30 yards away from goal and decided, again, to do everything by himself.  He ran at four Belgium defenders, beating them with his body swerve, dummies and accelaration.  Maradona then scored with a low left-footed shot and gave Pfaff no chance.

Another breathtaking goal by Maradona, accelarating his way past the iron-casted Belgium defence.
