AMIR MEIR

This is my cousin, Sergeant Amir Meir. Amir, who was stationed in Lebanon (he was in the Infantry in Givati), was guarding the Dla'at outpost on February 8, 2000, when he took a direct hit from an antitank missile. The Hizbullah filmed the event and published it; you can see the missile hitting the post.

On March 8, 2000, at noon, there was a memorial service for Amir at the University of Illinois.
