"Nothing's guaranteed. We were the two-time Stanley Cup champions and won our first six playoff games. Everyone started to think that we wouldn't lose again. And then this happens. It never matters what you've done in the past. All that matters is how you're playing right now. And Colorado played better...The last two years, I always felt it was us, the Stanley Cup champs, and everyone else. We don't stand alone anymore. But we don't have to hang our heads. We've got to regroup....Losing is a humbling thing, you know....I'm proud of what we've accomplished as a team. We've accomplished a lot that we wanted in the last few years....You never like losing and you never want to accept losing. But I'm sure I'd feel a little different right now had I never had won a Stanley Cup. I've been fortunate, and our team has had the breaks go our way in the past...It's disappointing, but I'm proud of our team."
