2. How do I put music on my page?
I have a whole page set up to answer this one, and to help you find some good music. So go to my Music for Your Page and it will tell you the code (HTML source) to add to your page to make a midi play on it. It will also work for .wav or .au but these files are much bigger than midis and can take along time to load, as well as using up a lot of space in your file manager.
3. How do I start a page?
This is kind of a hard question, and I usually need MORE information before I can answer it. But, to begin with you need to register for your free site from Geocities. Once you have your site the easiest way to make your first page is to go to the file manager and enter your username and password. Then click the check box next to index.html. That is the page that is currently your first page. You can make changes to it right from the file manager.
4. I got one page up and it looks real good, but I want to make another page and Geocities won't let me get another one. How can I get another page?
First of all when you register to get a page from Geocities, they are not just giving you one page, they are giving you two megs. of space. This is a lot! So you do not need to *register* for a new page, all you need to do is make one! Make a page with what ever HTML editor you use and when you save it give it a name (other than index.html). Then upload it to your file manager. Now you will want to edit your index.html and add a link to your new page. All my pages are on EnchantedForest/3607 but my pages have different names, and my index.html has a link to all the other pages.
5. I want to put a counter on my page. How do I do that?
Geocities has it's very own counters and they are easy to use just go to Counters at http://www.oocities.org/homestead/homeans.html#counter . If you have trouble using it you can e-mail me . There is a new counter available now, that is also a banner, please don't use these at Geocities. They do not allow banners of any kind except for Geoguide and Linkexchange.
6. I have a guestbook and it isn't working. Can you help me?
Well, yes, I can if you have a Geocities Guestbook. If you do not have a Geocities Guestbook, you might want to get one at http://www.oocities.org/homestead/guest_book.html . Even if you do not use a Geocities Guestbook I still might be able to help, but you would have to e-mail me about it.
7. I want to add a form or questionnaire to my site. How do I do that?
Geocities also offers it's own forms. You can get a Geocities Form from http://www.oocities.org/homestead/homeans.html#form. You can use them to ask the people who visit your site all kinds of questions. My awards page has a Geocities Form on it.
