The last Unicorn.

Once upon a time, in a place far far from here, lived a beautiful unicorn. During the long sunny days, she would run around the forest visiting her friends. She was a happy creature, and never hurt any one.

The unicorn was the last of her kind. Man liked the unicorn, and believed her horn to be magical, and often hunted her for it. They had already taken all her family, leaving her alone to live with the animals of the forest.

Unicorn wasnt sad. She had many kind friends. There was Bobby the badger, and Kiky the koala. Fella was also a friend, and would romp with her for hours, although the little fawn couldnt really keep up... unicorn would have to slow down for him.

Yes, although life had been cruel, unicorn was happy.

One day, a man came to the forest. He was a little man, and didnt seem scary. The animals hid and watched the man closely. He put all sorts of foods on the ground, and called for the animals.

Unicorn and her friends watched the man closely. Eventually the man collected his backpack, and left. The animals thought he was a safe distance away, and came out from their hiding places to eat the food he had left.

The little man was hiding behind the trees, and when he saw Unicorn he fell in love with her. What a treasure, he thought. Slowly, the little man crept back into sight of the animals.

"Dont run my friends, I wont harm you" He said.

The animals all looked startled at his reappearance, but held still, waiting to see what would happen.

"Unicorn, for sure you are the most beautiful creature I have ever seen. Come live with me, and be my love. I will care for you, and love you dearly!" he exclaimed in a hurried speach.

Unicorn looked at the man tenderly and whispered softly, "You are most kind, and your offer is respected, but I can not leave my home in the forest, for I would miss my animal friends." She glanced at her friends before continuing, "But you are most welcomed to live here with all of us, in peaceful happiness"

"Me! Live here? I am Man, unicorn, and can not live without my own kind. You will come with me, my love" He declaired.

Before Unicorn could respond, the man had thrown a rope around Unicorn and dragged her away...
