Welcome to the Enchanted Forest 99+ WebRing

The Enchanted Forest 99+ WebRing is for award-winning GeoCities Enchanted Forest sites that have been updated since the beginning of 1999.  In order to qualify:

  • Your site must be hosted somewhere in the GeoCities Enchanted Forest, including its subdivisions -- Cottage, Creek, Dell, Glade, Meadow, Palace, Tower, etc.
  • Your site must be cool enough to have won at least one award.
  • Your site must have been significantly updated or created since January 1, 1999.

That's all it takes.  If your site qualifies, and you'd like to join, here's how to do it:

First, fill out the form on this page below to submit your site to the WebRing's queue. (The queue is a place where all sites go first to get a site ID and be entered into the ring database.)

Next, you'll need to copy an HTML "fragment" to your WebRings page, and edit it to include your site ID, name, and email address.

When you are ready with the working HTML fragment on your webrings page, send an email message to the ringmaster (gardenmaze@yahoo.com) or any other member of the Enchanted Forest 99+ WebRing indicating that your site is ready, including the name of the site and site ID.  After your site is approved, it is moved out of the queue and placed in the ring.

Here's the form to use to submit your site to the queue and to get a site id. (It is important that the URL you list is the page that will contain the HTML fragment, so that people who are following the ring won't need to search outside that page to continue navigating the ring.)

Submit your site to the Enchanted Forest '99 Plus WebRing
Site Title:
URL of Your WebRing Page:
Name:
E-mail:

Password:
Please choose a password. (Don't forget it!!)
Keywords: Enter up to 20 keywords to describe your site.
Description: Enter a short description of your site.

After you've submitted your site to the queue, you'll need to add an HTML fragment to your web page. Here's what the HTML fragment looks like before it has been customized:

( S A M P L E   -   D O   N O T   U S E   T O   N A V I G A T E   R I N G )
This Enchanted Forest 99+ site is owned by --name--.
 [ Previous 5 Sites ] [ Skip Previous ] [ Previous ] [ Next ] [ Skip Next ] [ Next 5 Sites ] [ Random Site ] [ List Sites ]

You will need to make the following substitutions to the HTML fragment:

--id-- Your Site's WebRing ID
--name-- Owner of new site
--mail-- E-mail address of owner

Also, you will need to copy the right and left graphics to your own site, in the same directory as your Web Rings page. Depending on your browser, you should be able to right click on the graphics to save them to disk, for later uploading to your web site.

To save your image:

For Macs:
Click and hold your mouse on the image, then select "Save this image as" from the Pop-Up menu.

For PCs:
Right click on the image and choose "Save Image as" from the Pop-Up menu.

The HTML fragment is shown below. Select the text between the horizontal rules and paste it into an editor such as notepad. Then make the substitutions for your site ID, name, and E-mail address.

When your Web Rings page is, then send an email message to gardenmaze@yahoo.com, or to any member of the ring, requesting your site be moved from the queue to the ring.

Here's what a completed HTML fragment looks like. (This one is already customized for this site, so don't use it on your site.)
