The Grossman Family

Collections

I have a number of collections. They help me understand the relationships among the things that surround me. They help everything fit logically.

I relate to the collections in my own way. Let us take the example of my stamp collection.

Others may strive for a complete collection of all of the stamps from a particular country or concept. They may want to accumulate a valuable collection that can be sold for a profit. They may want to be able to exhibit their collection to other collectors.

My goal is different. I want to understand the following issues:

I can only learn about these issues by becoming involved in the world of stamps. My stamp collection offers me the privilege of speaking to others as an equal about their own stamp collections.

My collections go beyond man’s printed knowledge in websites or books. They are more than a hobby. They are tools for understanding how the world fits together, and why people do what they do. They help me create new associations among values, concepts, and issues.

I can then view our confusing world in a different way, and understand another aspect of it a bit more.

My collections offer me the raw data that I need in order to write these websites with a fresh, new, and different perspective.

Where do you want to go now?
