Enjoying your computer
Work Area

You should be sure that your work area is comfortable and convenient for your needs. There are many ergonomic considerations for this and you should make sure that you have met all of these requirements and issues and in addition to that simply consider the things that make you happy and comfortable and things that you need to have at arms reach.

Do follow all of those professional and ergonomic considerations because they are all important.

However, the bottom line consideration should be you. Are you comfortable and happy with the way the computer is set up and organized? Is it convenient for you? Is everything that you need accessible to you? Do you find that it is enjoyable this way? Do you wish that other things could be placed at arms reach? Do you wish that your posture would be different or would you like to be able to reach for certain text materials more easily? Are there wires that are in inconvenient places? Can you reach the mouse or the keyboard easily? When you do does it hurt any part of your fingers or arms? All of these are considerations that you should take into account. When setting up your work area it should be the best for your own needs and you should be happy and comfortable with the final result.

The bottom line is that you're going to need a good mix between comfort, your own comfort, and the convenience of your computer area and what the experts say. When you have reached the right mix then your computer area will be set up properly.
