It may not pay to repair your computer. It may just be a waste of your money. If your computer is more than two years old then you would have to consider the following options:
If your computer is in generally good condition and just a minor repair is needed, for say an hour or two of work, then go ahead and repair it, and I hope you'll get a lot of additional use out of it.
However, if the computer needs a number of hours of work then you will have to pay several hundred dollars for the repair job.
Consider that the price of computers has gone down considerably and that you can get a good computer now for possibly the cost of the repair job or just slightly more.
Thus, if you invest the amount of money you would have paid for the repair job and add on just a little bit more money you'll have a whole new computer.
When somebody tries to tell you to fix it, consider these options. It just might not be worth it.
