The author of these articles has spent a lifetime in the classroom.
And as with any other professional, and certainly any other teacher, there have been some successes and some failures and the reason I continued teaching was because I had enough successes to encourage me to return to the classroom the following day.
These experiences can be very useful to other people.
Teachers of similar subjects might want to get feedback about their options, possibilities, methods, and working style. These articles may be able to save a lot of grief by reading about what worked and what did not work for another teacher. You won't make the same mistakes and you will do the same things that worked for at least one other teacher.
Administrators will read about the point of view of an experienced teacher in issues of importance. They may be able to take these concepts into account. It would be useful to get anonymous background information rather than asking the teachers on the staff. The teachers on the staff may be hesitant to express their opinions openly, but in this website the author has no reason to hide anything.
With all of these experiences over the course of so many years, it would be a shame to just let them be forgotten after the author retires and goes to A Better Place. For that reason this website can be useful to all of these people and they will be able to serve future generations and help them avoid making mistakes.
It is to the educational establishment that this website is dedicated.
