Teachers may gain major advantages by visualizing and then planning the big picture before teaching a class. It makes their life a lot easier for the entire school year.

Of course this can only work when teachers are informed of their teaching program in advance.

This concept will succeed only if teachers see the benefit of planning in advance. Unfortunately, this is not the way that student teachers are taught to prepare their materials. Thus, this page conflicts with the method taught in teacher-training academies.

The idea is to be aware of the big picture in advance. If you know all of the details and sequence of your class for the entire year, then you can split the work into a reasonable work load. You can schedule the heavy part of the work for the period between the end of Sukkot and the beginning of Chanukah. Some teachers claim to accomplish between thirty-three to fifty percent of the syllabus work for the entire year during that time, even though it's only about two months out of the year.

An experienced teacher can then divide the balance of the year in a logical manner, while taking into account the following issues:
