Conference
Learning

A good way to teach a particular topic is by preparing a conference with an exhibition of products right outside the conference room.

This can very often be far more exciting than a classroom. It's different and the serious yet fun-filled atmosphere with projectors, slide shows, music, and exciting speakers, maybe with prizes, makes it a different learning atmosphere than the standard sit down in a classroom and bang it into your head atmosphere which you're used to.

It also works.

Make sure that every speaker has a presentation ready. Make sure that they've all practiced in that very same room a number of times. Make sure they do not read the material that's on the screen and they use the presentation as an additional crutch but that they have a worthwhile, exciting, interesting, and sometimes even funny things to say so that they will maintain everybody's interest.

Basically, anything that you do to move the learning environment out of the classroom will help you teach more and better. The idea of turning it into a conference is going to be reserved for special things in which you want to make a quantum leap unto top notch teaching.

It also means that you're going to have to have special funding for it but that shouldn't be much of a problem anyhow. Go get it and it will be well worth it for your special event.
