There is a thin line between success and failure and in fact success requires failure. Failure is the first step to success.
Don't let anybody tell you that they were an instant success in things. They're lying if they say that. People have to fail. They have to take many other steps and then when success comes along it does look easy to the observer who does not realize the steps that came before.
Furthermore, anybody who wants to succeed has to be prepared to take certain risks along the way. They have to be prepared when they take these risks to fail in some of them and that is also perfectly acceptable. Anybody who wants to get ahead has to realize that sometimes he will fail.
Success means growing. It means improving. That means that there's change. anybody who wants to grow will have to change and that means that their situation will not remain stable.
This is good. A person should not remain stable in life. Stables are for horses. People who want to get ahead have to take the chance of being able not to be stable.
These people should realize that the right way to act is to fail in order to be able to be their best and they realize that failure is the only way that they can possibly grow.
That means that failure is nothing to be ashamed of. It's one stage in improving. The important is that when you fail, do a study, do an introspection of the situation. Try to understand what was it that caused you to fail and then take the necessary steps in order to prevent yourself from failing again or from failing in a different way, a different but related way.
If you have done that then you have already improved your situation. If you have improved your situation, you have grown. And if you have grown, then you are already a success.
Now keep trying to move in that direction. You won't always be successful in working towards success. There will be times in which you'll go back, you'll regress and that's also part of the pattern of succeeding. Don't let the regressions hurt you or upset you.
If you regress many times in the same way and in the same pattern, then you should be concerned and your introspection should relate to how you can prevent yourself from regressing or from not succeeding in the same way.
However, if you don't make the same mistake twice, then you should realize that each day that goes by you are one step closer to success. One more of those failures that was necessary is out of the way, which means that the next thing that you do could be or should be closer to success, and you might even hit the jackpot!
Fail in order to be your best. It's the only way to grow.
