All teachers would like to teach fascinating, exciting topics, and to keep our students at the edge of their seats with anticipation and excitement, as we present wonderful and fascinating insights into the world around them. However, reality is often different. We sometimes have to teach simple, boring things.
This article explains how to teach several boring topics. We will take the topics of vocabulary and computer viruses. Everyone will agree that there is little exciting about them. We will also agree that the topics are quite important. Any course in professional or specialized English, or any other language requires a study of the professional vocabulary, and any basic or intermediate course in computers demands an understanding of computer viruses. In both cases it is important to study the topics in depth. However, it is certainly not something that we can go into with the same joy and exuberance as certain other topics. Let us investigate how this can be done.
