Humor may be the best way to handle many problems and issues - including teaching.

We take education very seriously and rightfully so. This is a very serious topic. If only the authorities would take the salaries of the teachers as seriously as the job itself we would be much better off.

However, funny things do occur in the classroom and it is proper for us to lighten the atmosphere sometimes. After all a heavy atmosphere of straight teaching might be too difficult for both the teacher and the students.

This section will describe some of the humorous issues that come up in the classroom, amongst teachers, or in other educational environments.

The first issue is presented for you and I hope that others will recommend or submit other humorous issues that have occurred in their classrooms or in educational environments. They will be posted here together with the name of the person who submits them.
