Let's face it: Israelis don't even think the same way as others.

Well, it's true that the thought processes are neurologically similar, but Israelis have a different perception of the way that events take place. That does make communication difficult.

• Our concepts work, taste, feel, smell, and act differently
• Our relationship with those concepts work, taste, feel, smell, and act differently
• The way we relate to the economy is different
• Our concept of right and wrong is different
• We view the law differently
• Our relationship to the military establishment is different
  • We spend a great deal of time in the military, especially during our early years
  • We start college or university studies at a later stage
  • We then do reserve duty for decades thereafter
• Our relationship to our families is different
  • Our schools, yeshivas, and army service demand that we be away from home for long periods of time
  • These differences affects our relationship to the family structure
  • These differences also affect the way we relate to members of our family
• Our attitudes towards religion itself are different
• Our attitudes towards life itself are different
  • We see that tragedies can occur any time or place
  • That fact intensifies our feels towards human life
• We don't have time to decide what we want to do in life
  • As a result, there are fewer liberal arts majors
  • We know exactly what we will be doing as college students
  • We also know what we will be doing afterwards
  • We may make mistakes in planning, but we know what we want
  • Thus, our concept of time is different
• As a result, our maturity is different
  • We don't have the time or patience to wait until we can be mature

Of course there are many exceptions to this rule, but the basic issue remains: Israelis do think differently from others.
