When we think about parenting and the family cycle we like to think about life.
However, that would be a very limited view of the real issues that take place in a family. The family is sometimes in its most cohesive state not when there is life because then it is just general, routine issues, but during Shiva and Yarzheit and even during Yizkor. Past animosities are sometimes put aside, at least they try to and if only temporarily and the family unit is sometimes unfortunately most functional during the saddest periods of time.
It is therefore most fitting that our Grossman Parenting website includes perhaps one of the most important stages in life which is the end of the life cycle - death and how to deal with it.
