Should parents be involved in their children's development, growth, education, and culturalization?
This question seems absurd. The answer seems obvious. Clearly, children cannot become aculturated by themselves. They have no culture when they're born. They cannot grow up by themselves. They need their parents at least until a certain age and until they can be independent.
Nonetheless, parents often feel that they cannot or should not become involved in issues related to their children. They feel that the children should learn by themselves.
Yes, some children can and do survive, despite this foolish and short-sighted approach.
Parents need to help their children become independent. Their relationship and involvement will change as the children grow older and become mature.
