Some people think that getting married is as easy as the splitting of the Red Sea: Kriyat Yam Suf.
The acronym of those Hebrew letters are kuf, yud, samech which can be pronounced kiss. Observant Jews do not kiss before marriage, but for some people the analogy remains: One kiss and you're in love; a second "kiss" and you're ready for marriage. To them, love means nothing more than external demonstrations of intent.
However, reality is not based on such myths. Dating and getting married according to Jewish tradition is a difficult chore indeed. It is very much like the traditional description of Kriyat Yam Suf.
