מי ברעש
Who (will die) by noise
((actually, this context refers to an earthquake)

Bands in some weddings and other Jewish events destroy the simcha. They are too noisy. They impede thought and communication among the guests.

A wedding should be a time of sober self-evaluation and prayer. It should also be a time in which guests can talk to each other. The band should enhance that atmosphere.

It is unlikely that the couple wants to drown out their sorrows. A wedding is supposed to be a happy occasion.

What, then, could be the excuse for mature adults to make all htat noise?

Where do you want to go now?
