The initial meeting of the parents on both sides can be difficult. Discussions relate to money, and the division of the burden is not always fair.

There may be a hidden agenda. For example, the side that has invested less in raising the child may want to compensate her with money at the wedding. Wouldn't it be great to start off with an apartment? However, they hope to share the burden along the side that has already invested more in the child. In that way they can assuage their guilt while saving money.

It is even less fair when we realize that the parent who had invested money and time in his children probably has less money in the bank at this time.

This could be a very difficult and unfair time.
