A child's emotional, physical and social development should take time.
We sometimes see a weepy adult who throws tantrums and feel that the person has not matured sufficiently for his age.
Yes, of course, that may well be the case.
But what would be the reason for this slow development? Was the person given an opportunity to develop at his own pace when he was young? Perhaps he is now acting the way he should have when he was younger.
If this adult had been able to act as a child when he was young, he might have been able to let out these feelings and behaviors at that age. When he grew older he might have acted more like an adult.
It does not always help to rush a child's emotional development.
