שלח תשלח את האם

Motherhood does not necessarily mean being cooped up at home the entire time with your child. Even if you do have a home-based job it is important for you as a mother to make sure that you have time to get out and you should work out with your husband an arrangement for you to be able to get out. He should make time for you to be able to leave and he should be able to send you out to be able to see something else besides the house. It'll do you goo to get out anyhow.

Take a look at that quotation on top of the page. You may want to look up the context of the quotation. Although it looks like it can fit this page perfectly, you may be in for a surprise when you see what it really is about.

This concept is important for anybody who works at home, such as a translator or an editor. In all of these cases it is important to be able to have time to get out.

Note to myself: Link from working at home in Grossman Translation to this article.

You shouldn't say that you have a lot of work to do because of your responsibilities and you don't have time to get out. This approach will actually limit the amount that you can do properly in the long run. Yes, there may be exceptions. There may be particularly busy times or times in which you cannot get out, but they should certainly be the exceptions rather than the rule. When something does come up and you are particularly busy so that you cannot get out, you should find a way as soon as possible to compensate for the fact that you are stuck at home more than you should have been for an extended period of time.

This might be the case, for example, after a child's illness, and even during that time you should work it out to be able to get out as much as is possible.

When you work at home you will have those issues, the baby's illness, as well as other issues to deal with. In some cases that might make it doubly hard to find time to get out. Do take the effort to rise to that challenge.

Where do you want to go now?
