Some parents push their children to work for higher grades in school. They may be encouraged by the fact that their child's grades can indeed be improved, with their intervention and help.
There is no doubt that parents should facilitate everything surrounding their child's studies. They should be sure that their child has everything needed in order to succeed in school.
On the other hand, this must be balanced by sufficient free time, friends, games, or goofing off. The child has to have time to be a child. He must be allowed to grow up at his own pace, and to do the things that children do.
