Some parents start off doing things the right way, but they seem to burn out. Their first children are raised perfectly, but later ones are not given the same attention.
The first children are bilinguals, the later children barely speak their own local language.
The parents have plenty of money for fancy weddings for the first children. They run out of money for the later children.
The first children grow up to be friendly, kind, and good members of society. The later children seem to get into trouble more frequently.
The parents got burned out in each of these cases. In the beginning they were able to devote themselves to their children properly. In the beginning they gave them their energy. Later on they got tired.
Some people who read this page will probably say that the parents should have stopped having children at a certain age. They may argue that a person should have children only when they can raise them properly.
Of course, that would be a myopic point of view. These people should have as many as G-d will offer.
However, they should learn from the experiences of other people. Yes, parents can burn out. There is a potential for a problem. Make sure that you do not let this problem attack you.
It would be better to plan how you will raise each child. Plan how to overcome the potential problems, so that you will be able to raise all of your children successfully - and with equal success.
Yes, the solution is proper planning, not giving up on children. With proper planning, there can be no reason why the last child will not turn out as well as the first child. To the contrary - you can benefit from experience with each child.
But it's up to you, not the child.
Observe families that had problem children at the end. Analyze their mistakes - and don't repeat them yourself. If you can't find families to observe, then read this website.
And don't let it happen to you.
