When your child rebels

By the time a man realizes
that maybe his father was right,
he usually has a son
who thinks he's wrong.

Do all normal children rebel?

It is difficult to generalize. Most normal children follow the same stages of development.

However, some children experience more intense issues at each stage, while others develop in a more smooth manner. These individual differences seem to indicate that some children rebel with greater intensity than others.

There are also differences in the ages at which children develop or rebel. Various parents at a kaffee klatch may feel that one child has rebelled and another has not – simply because one child has not yet reached that age.

Furthermore, a rebellion by a 10 year old differs from that of a 14-year old, which in turn differs from that of a 16- or a 20-year old.
